Membership support is crucial to Harpswell Heritage Land Trust’s conservation, stewardship and education work.

It is only with the support of our community of members and donors that we are able to preserve land, build and maintain trails, ensure your access to land and shore, provide programs and education for people of all ages and be a true community resource.

Here are what some of members say about why they support Harpswell Heritage Land Trust (HHLT):

“My support is rooted in the need to protect our coast, wetlands and land and though I support controlled development in the town, I also want to preserve parts as I knew them as a child.” –Chad MacArthur

“HHLT has opened Nature to those who love it and like to be surrounded by it. Walking the trails in any season, picking some berries or mushrooms, listening to frogs and birds, are experiences which soothe, heal and always make me whole again in this frail and perilous world.” –Marlis Cambon

“Harpswell is SO BEAUTIFUL, that it should be available for ALL to enjoy. The HHLT has maintained and made available the precious pieces of land given to them and I think they deserve our support! I am thankful that we have the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust.” –Jennifer Coughlin

“I believe natural land should be preserved for our children and grandchildren to use.” – Michael DeRosa

Membership benefits include car decals, two paper newsletters a year, postcard notifications of upcoming events and a discount for Nature Day Camp. There is no minimum donation to become a member.
