Exploration and Water Play at Stover’s Point Preserve!

Join the Southern Midcoast Forest Playgroup and Harpswell Heritage Land Trust for a morning of fun and exploration at Stover’s Point Preserve. This narrow gravel sandbar wraps around a salt marsh. The beach, tidal creek, and ocean are fantastic places to play and explore. Be prepared to catch crabs, get wet, and have fun with HHLT’s Julia McLeod. There are no bathrooms or other facilities at Stover’s. There are porta potties just up the road at Mitchell Field. More information about Stover’s can be found here.

Stover’s Point Preserve is located at approx. 69 Windsor Lane, Harpswell. Please drive slowly on the neighborhood roads leading to the preserve. From the intersection of Rt 123 and Bath Rd at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, follow Rt 123 south for 12.2 mi. Turn left on Stover’s Cove Rd. Take your first right onto Stover’s Point Rd. Veer left at the next intersection. Stay straight and follow the road as it curves to the right. Take your first left on a dirt road. This dirt road is in poor shape, so please drive slowly and carefully. Follow Windsor Lane to the preserve and drive all the way to the boulders that designate the pedestrian-only area of the preserve.
