Harpswell Coastal Cleanup Day

The Town of Harpswell is hosting a Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 23 for town-wide collection and drop-off.

You can accumulate marine-sourced debris in advance or collect on the cleanup day. Bring to the Transfer Station (if you have pre-registered) or drop-off at one of three locations: Mackerel Cove Town Landing, Harpswell Community School (dirt lot near road), or Lookout Point Town Landing.

Accepted: Marine Debris: Floating man-made materials, particularly plastic foam, dimensional lumber, bags, containers, etc.

Not Accepted: Identifiable fishing gear (name, number, or color markings), natural material (tree branches, seaweed, lobster shells), and household trash.
