Mushroom Discovery Walk
This event is now full. Please email Amelia Graham at development@hhltmaine.org to be added to the waitlist.
Join us as we explore the trails at Wilson’s Cove in search of fall mushrooms. To stimulate your senses, we hope to find mushrooms in a wide variety of colors, shapes, sizes, textures, and odors. And to stimulate your mind, we’ll discuss the often-hidden, but vital, role that fungi play in the ecology of healthy forests. Alan Seamans is a Maine Master Naturalist and a lifelong science and nature enthusiast. His fungi walks are always popular!
Limit 12 participants. Registration is required. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and good walking shoes. Bring a hand lens if you have one.
