Nature Journaling with Nat Wheelwright
Keeping a nature journal is one of the best and easiest ways to teach yourself about the animals and plants around you and to feel the rhythm of nature as the seasons change and the years go by. This three-week course will explore different approaches to nature journaling. Whether you are an experienced naturalist excited about exploring ecology more deeply or someone who has only recently discovered an interest in nature, you will learn how to make observations in your own backyard efficiently and effectively and, importantly, how to turn your journal into your own natural history teaching tool.
Nat Wheelwright is a Biology Professor Emeritus at Bowdoin College and a resident of Harpswell. He is also a co-author of The Naturalist’s Notebook along with Bernd Heinrich. This program will run for three consecutive weeks on 7/12, 7/19 and 7/26 and is being offered in partnership with Merrymeeting Adult Education. Registration is required.
