Spring Birding Walk with Nat Wheelwright
This walk is now full. To join the waitlist, click here. Spring is a wonderful time for birding as the migrants return and males begin to sing in earnest, defending their territories and attracting mates. Join naturalist and birder Nat Wheelwright at Otter Brook Preserve to see how many birds you can identify using your eyes and ears. With practice, it is easy to learn to recognize different species and even something about the individual birds.
Nat Wheelwright, Bowdoin Biology Professor Emeritus, Harpswell resident, and co-author of The Naturalist’s Notebook, will lead this field trip. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking and bring binoculars, if you have (or can borrow) them.
This event is capped at 15 participants and will proceed rain or shine. Advance registration is required.
