Tide Pool Exploration
Come explore the tide pools at Harpswell’s beautiful Potts Point Preserve and investigate the interesting creatures that live between the tides. We’ll likely see crabs, snails, lobsters, sea urchins, several kinds of seaweed, and more! All are welcome at this free event. Advance registration is requested.
This family-friendly program is led by Harpswell Heritage Land Trust’s Julia McLeod. Julia has been exploring and teaching about nature for nearly two decades. Tide pools are her favorite places to bring kids!
This program will involve crossing uneven and often slippery terrain. Bring sturdy shoes that can get wet (water shoes or sturdy sandals are better than rubber boots), sun protection, drinking water, and snacks. We will meet at the intersection of Harpswell Neck Road and Potts Point Road to walk the quarter mile to the preserve together.
