In 2018, the Sunset Cruise is on Tuesday, August 14, from 6-8 p.m. leaving from the Dolphin Marina

Join us on the water to take in Harpswell’s breathtaking shoreline from high up on the deck of a Casco Bay ferry built for comfort and stability. Keep an eye out for seals, porpoise, eagles, shore birds and more. Enjoy complimentary locally prepared foods – including hors d’oeuvres, lobster rolls, salads and desserts – and soft drinks and juices. A cash bar is available. Chat with friends, and learn about Harpswell’s fascinating natural and human history. Support the work of the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust to preserve Harpswell’s special places, protect water quality, ensure public access to land and shore, and engage and educate people of all ages.

We hope to cruise in eastern Casco Bay this year, weather and sea conditions permitting.  Sights will include the Giant’s Stairs from the water; Jenny Island, where endangered Roseate Terns nest; the Little Yarmouth Island Preserve and, hopefully, the seabirds that populate the many small islands in this rugged section of the bay.
