HIPP Workday at Otter Brook Preserve: Oct. 6
Who: Harpswell Invasive Plant Partnership and community volunteers
When: Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 9:00 a.m.-Noon
Where: Otter Brook Preserve. Do not meet at the official parking lot for the preserve. Instead, park along the southern end of Peabody Road. We will walk as a group into the woods so please be on time.
What: Invasive plant removal
How: Bring loppers, pruning saw, pruners and gloves; HIPP also has extras! We will be cutting invasive honeysuckle and bittersweet in the North loop of Otter Brook Preserve. Bring water to drink, and apply insect/tick repellant!
Why: Invasive plants prevent our native plants from thriving. Lack of native plants means less for native wildlife to eat! Help us control invasive plants on Otter Brook Preserve, and help nurture our native plants and wildlife!
Please RSVP to Tulle Frazer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 207-725-8942 by Monday, Oct. 4. It is important to RSVP so we know to wait for you if you are a tad late and we can email you in case of a cancellation due to rain.
