Join us to celebrate the summer solstice and kick-start summer fun with an outdoor picnic and live music by String Tide!
There will be free pizza for all courtesy of Bunchberry Stewards in gratitude for Harpswell Heritage Land Trust’s conservation of the new Strawberry Creek Preserve. Pizza will come out of the oven starting at 5 p.m. Music runs from 6-7:30 p.m.
Bring your own picnic, beverage and chairs, savor a beautiful evening on scenic Mackerel Cove, enjoy live music and celebrate the coming of summer.
String Tide is an all-male folk quartet specializing in rich, satisfying harmonies and a penchant for bluegrassery on covers of old time, folk, Americana, and pop tunes. Hailing from Brunswick, Bowdoin, and Woolwich they play fiddle, banjo, octave mandolin, guitar, and bass with energy and vibrancy as they pull you out of your seat to dance or cover some of your old favorites with their own special flair.
We will have raffle tickets for sale for a chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants and food stores! All of the money raised from your purchase of raffle tickets will go to Harpswell Heritage Land Trust’s conservation and education work. We are raffling off prizes valued at $150 each. There will be seven winners! Click here for details.
