New Pocket Naturalist Guide to Seashore Life of Harpswell, Maine
The perfect waterproof guide for your summer adventures!
Harpswell Heritage Land Trust has created a custom guide to the common plants, animals and algae found along Harpswell’s shoreline. Printed on waterproof paper, the guide is easy to stick in your back pocket when heading out to explore. This visual guide features color illustrations to help you quickly identify 125 different species. It was published by Waterford Press, funded by Casco Bay Estuary Partnership and researched by Chris Heinig, Dr. Jonathan Allen, Beth Whalon and Julia McLeod.
The guide is free for educators teaching in formal or informal settings with young people from preschool through college anywhere around Casco Bay. Please click here to request a free guide. If you’re looking for guides for your students, feel free to contact Julia at director@hhltmaine.org to inquire about bulk pricing for schools and nonprofits.
We are selling the guides for $8 each. Feel free to stop by the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust at 153 Harpswell Neck Road when we’re open, or order online. We can ship online orders or put them out on the deck at our office for you to pick up when convenient.
