Meet Us Outside: 10/8 Paddle with Matt

Join us for a new weekly event series, Meet Us Outside, hosted by the HHLT staff. This is an opportunity to spend time in nature, explore Harpswell, and connect with the people behind the land trust. With a variety of activities, locations, days, and times, there’s always a new way to meet us outside! Registration is optional but helpful for our planning purposes, as we will try to limit attendance to 10 participants.

Join Matt Newberg, Executive Director, for a morning paddle to the Helen and Walter Norton Preserve on Birch Island! BYOB (Bring your own boat or paddle board). PFDs will be required, wetsuits are optional. We will plan to launch from Lookout Point at 7:30am and spend about 30 minutes on the island. Lookout Point is a public launch with first come, first served parking. This is not for beginners and will be weather dependent. If canceled, participants will be emailed the morning of the event.
