Schiller Summer Fun | July 5th Family Drop-In
Join us for a day of family fun at the Schiller Coastal Studies Center. We’ll be exploring tide pools in the intertidal zone, visiting the wet lab to meet sea creatures, making art, and much more!
Programs run from 12:00-2:00 PM and doors open at 11:00 AM. So come early and bring a picnic to enjoy before programs start.
**This is a drop-in event. At least one adult must stay with minors during programs**
- 11:00-12:00 – Doors Open (Bring your own picnic and enjoy a preprogram meal.)
- 12:00- 2:00 – Programs (Tide pool explorations, sea creature touch tanks, and more)
- After 2:00 – Stay for informal fun. Choose your own family hike or stay in the learning center to make sea creature art.
- Appropriate clothing
- Protective water shoes (Tide pool area has sharp rocks and shells)
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- *Life jackets – If your 12 and unders would like to walk out onto the boat dock, life jackers are required. This is not a required activity, however, only a limited number of PFDs are available to borrow.
