Johnson Field Debris Cleanup

Are you interested in helping clean up storm debris from Johnson Field Preserve? We are looking for volunteers to help our Preserve Stewards on an upcoming cleanup day!

No advanced sign up required, as many hands make lighter work. Please meet at the preserve parking lot at 25 Abner Point Rd, Bailey Island at 1 p.m. We recommend dressing in layers, wearing sun protection and sturdy shoes, and bringing a water bottle and snacks. If you have them, please also bring work gloves and small shovels for digging invasive thistles. HHLT will provide trash bags and coordinate other large debris removal.

Please reach out to Emma Balazs emma@hhltmaine.org in advance if you have a vehicle or trailer with hauling capacity that you can bring. If there is a weather event happening on Saturday, April 27th, the event will instead be held on Sunday, April 28th.
